Maine in the Winter

Good Morning, Friends!

Katy and I just got back from a wonderful trip to Maine. We not only met up with dear Monhegan Island friends, but did a little work as well--gathering information for future paintings. We were blessed with beautiful weather while we were there and we were able to experience Maine in winter without ending up in the hospital with frostbite!

Thank you to John and Winnie for coming in from Monhegan and to Al and Betsey for coming in from New Hampshire. A special thank you to Carroll and Mary Jane for putting us up (and for putting up with us!) in Kittery Point! You are all dear friends and we look forward to seeing you soon on Monhegan!

Highlights of the trip included Cape Neddick (Nubble) Light in York and Fort McClary in Kittery Point. We also enjoyed tromping around the old seaside cemetery at the First Congregational Church in Kittery Point. A fine time was had by all in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, as we met up at the Banks Gallery and made our way to the British Beer Company Pub and Eatery for dinner. And, of course, the tradition continues--breakfast and lunch at Rick's in York! Thanks also to Mary Jane for the wonderful dinner and blueberry pie!

Ah, Maine in winter with friends...

Brad at the Nubble--it doesn't get any better than this!

All for now. Until next time...

Welcome to My Blog

Welcome, friends, to my new blog. This is where I will post the latest happenings in and around the studio. I hope that you will join me in my journey...

I'll start us off by looking at a painting that is very indicative of the cold and snowy winter that we're having here in Pennsylvania.
